LMS SETUP, TRAINING, AND INTEGRATION

Tools: Canvas, Articulate Rise, Schoology, NEO, Amazon Web Services, Groupworld, MathJax, MasteryConnect
Process: I’m working to bring my client’s top-tier tutoring program online and into both Canvas and Articulate Rise. We’re collaborating to build group tutoring classes, individual tutoring sessions, and self-paced learning experiences inside Canvas to help students get into the university of their dreams.
We started by ruling out alternate LMS providers and testing Canvas against the various features the client needs to provide high-quality tutoring support. We followed this up with multiple discussions with Instructure and are now in the early stages of determining any other technology needs, like MasteryConnect. We’re now properly in the implementation phase, and I get to assist, train, and optimize the Canvas environment for the client, as well as consult on how to translate their various business models into an online platform like Canvas.
In the near future, I will be training more content developers on how to build and integrate various learning technologies into their Canvas environment. I will also be communicating directly with Instructure to ensure that Canvas Data can be leveraged to build custom reports to send to students so they have the best feedback available as they prepare for college. Finally, I will be implementing the Canvas branding and serving as the LMS admin for the client to resolve any issues.
